Kaliabe
Nigeria Ltd

Infrastructure for institutions. National systems made visible through architecture — the governing visual, image and motion framework for kaliabe.ng.

FIG. 00 — System Cover Issued by Menashi Consulting RC 9638185 Revision 01 / 2026

01 — Brand Identity

A seal for national systems.

Kaliabe presents technology infrastructure as part of the civic and physical fabric of Nigeria. The logo is a seal for that idea — a cable-stayed span held in a geodesic frame, drawn as an institutional mark.

The mark is a bridge, an assembly and a nation in one figure.

The hexagon is the civic frame — the geodesic pattern of connection that Nigerian institutions already use to describe permanence. Within it, one cable-stayed span: the pylon, two fans of stays and a continuous deck, drawn from the Lekki–Ikoyi Link Bridge. Three brass nodes mark the points where systems meet — the signal, the left junction, the right junction.

The letterforms are not illustrated. The mark does not spell KALIABE; it is drawn in the language of infrastructure so the name may follow in type. At every size the figure holds: a hexagon at 32px, a span at 120px, an institution at any scale.

Brand Statement

Kaliabe builds sovereign digital and compute infrastructure for Nigerian institutions, regulated industries and national development.

Core line — Infrastructure for Institutions. Always in caps, never italicised, never translated, never followed by punctuation.

Personality — quiet authority; architectural intelligence; nationally grounded; exacting; forward-looking as continuity, never science fiction.

Logo variants

Horizontal Lockup

Mark + wordmark. Use where width is available: website header, letterhead, proposal covers, investor decks.

Mark Only

The span alone. Use for favicon, social avatar, app icon, decals, embroidery and stamps below 120px.

Wordmark Only

KALIABE with the governing line beneath. Use for letterhead, documents and contexts where the mark is already present.

Approved colourways

Full Colour

Forest structure, brass nodes. On ivory, white or paper. The default expression.

Forest Mono

Single ink. For one-colour print, engraving, stamping and documents where brass is unavailable.

Ivory Knockout

Ivory on forest. For dark plates, signage, video end frames and presentations on forest fields.

Clearspace

Keep clear of the mark by one half of its height on every side — the x-zone. More space on formal documents; never less. Partner logos, rules, text and plate edges stay outside the zone.

Minimum sizes

Mark onlyDigital 32px favicon · 120px header. Print 8mm.
Horizontal lockupDigital 180px wide. Print 45mm wide.
Wordmark onlyDigital 140px wide. Print 34mm.
Social avatarExport the solid mark at 512px minimum.

Below 32px the stroked mark trades for the solid variant — filled forest field, ivory structure, brass nodes. It reads at 16px without losing the span.

02 — Colour System

Ivory carries. Forest commands. Brass signals.

The palette is a field, an authority and a signal. Light is institutional confidence: ivory space dominates every composition, forest holds the structure, and brass appears only where a system is active.

Luminous Ivory#F3F0E8Primary field · 65–80% of every composition
Institutional Forest#0E4B3CHeadlines, logo, structural anchors · 8.8:1 on ivory
Patinated Green#3C725FSecondary linework, coordinates, aged detail · 4.9:1
Antique Brass#B08A43Rules, pulses, coordinates · active signal, max 3 per viewport
Architectural Charcoal#20231FBody copy, technical engraving · 13.9:1 on ivory
Paper Shadow#E8E2D5Soft depth, borders, sectional planes
Ivory field · 65–80% Forest · 15–25% Brass · ≤3%

Dominance

Ivory field must carry the page, deck or plate. Forest headlines and anchors provide authority; they never flood the field.

Signal

Brass is an active state only — a rule, a pulse, a coordinate, a junction. Maximum three brass elements per viewport. It is never a gradient, never a background wash.

Depth

Charcoal is body copy and engraving. Patina is secondary linework and coordinates. Paper Shadow gives soft sectional depth; it does not outline cards.

AccessibilityForest on Ivory 8.8:1 — AAA. Charcoal on Ivory 13.9:1 — AAA. Patina on Ivory 4.9:1 — AA. Body text uses Charcoal or Forest-60 at all times.
Brass disciplineBrass on ivory measures 2.8:1 — below body-text threshold. Brass is for rules, coordinates and non-text signals, never for paragraph copy. On forest, brass rises to 3.1:1 (AA-large) — acceptable for large labels only.
Colour-blind pairingsNever rely on hue alone. Forest and Brass differ strongly in luminance, so structure stays readable without colour vision. Pair Forest text with Ivory fields; pair Patina coordinates with an accompanying label; never use Brass-on-Patina as a signal pair.

03 — Typography

A serif that surveys, a sans that serves.

Cormorant Garamond carries the institutional voice in display sizes — high contrast, generous air, uppercase sparingly. Manrope does the working — labels, body, captions — with technical tracking.

Display — Cormorant Garamond

Regular 400Medium 500SemiBold 600Bold 700

Use 500–700 for headlines, section titles, hero type and statistics. Uppercase is a deliberate act — set in caps only for hero and section titles, never for paragraphs. Italic is reserved for the em-word inside ledes.

Sovereign data. Institutional clarity.

Mixed-type rule

The span is one continuous infrastructural gesture.

Display serif carries the proposition; the sans lede delivers it. Em-words in Cormorant italic pull the reader across the sentence — no more than one per paragraph.

Uppercase discipline

Caps belong to hero titles, section titles and technical labels only. Body copy and ledes stay in sentence case. Mixed case preserves the institutional read; constant caps reads as signage, not authority.

04 — Motion System

Motion as construction.

The system assembles, surveys and activates. It never plays a trailer. Four behaviours, three curves, one rule: after every major reveal, hold the stillness for 1.5–2.5 seconds.

01DRAW

Engraving lines reveal in controlled groups, 1.2–2.4s. Used for hero, section headers and plate linework. Groups draw in the order the eye surveys: deck, pylon, then stays.

Duration1.2–2.4s
Curveease-draw · cubic-bezier(.65,0,.35,1)

02SURVEY

Coordinates, ticks and captions register with an 80–140ms stagger. Captions appear in reading order: place, coordinate, figure number. Nothing blinks; everything is surveyed.

Stagger80–140ms per item
Curveease-survey · cubic-bezier(.22,1,.36,1)

03CONNECT

One brass signal travels through an architectural path, 1.6–3.0s. A single pulse per reveal. It demonstrates connection — data, energy or evidence — moving through the structure.

Duration1.6–3.0s
Curveease-draw · one signal per viewport

04SETTLE

Foreground, structure and atmosphere drift at different depths, 2–8px. A parallax of 2–8px only — the plate never slides, it settles. Depth separates layers for motion.

Drift2–8px, layer by layer
Curveease-settle · cubic-bezier(.16,1,.3,1)

Transition grammar

Section entry: ivory wash → linework draw → title reveal → brass activation. Scroll: the camera tracks along the primary structure rather than zooming through it. Hover: annotations sharpen, one local line activates, material contrast rises 3–5%. Reduced motion: display the final engraved state with no lost information.

Reduced motion fallback

Every composition holds without motion. Under prefers-reduced-motion, all reveals resolve to their final state: lines drawn, coordinates registered, the brass signal at rest. Content is never gated behind animation. This folio follows the same rule.

05 — Visual Language

Plates, not pictures.

Every hero image is an architectural plate: copperplate engraving fused with restrained material detail, annotated like a drawing commissioned by an architect and engraved by a scientific illustrator.

42.0M 170M FIG. 02 — LEKKI–IKOYI LINK BRIDGE, LAGOS DRAWN FROM LIFE · 6.4550°N 3.3841°E · PLATE II

Composition anatomy

65–80% luminous ivory atmosphere. One dominant Nigerian architectural subject with a clear structural silhouette. A single infrastructural gesture — span, axis, colonnade, conduit, pipeline, grid. Brass appears as an active signal, never a gradient.

Annotations are evidence

Place, figure number, coordinates, material or system state. Captions read like footnotes: FIG. 01 — LEKKI–IKOYI LINK BRIDGE, LAGOS. DRAWN FROM LIFE. They reward inspection.

Separable depth

Foreground linework, main structure and atmospheric field stay separable for motion — DRAW, SURVEY, CONNECT and SETTLE each need their own layer.

Paper & gilding

A fine paper-grain texture multiplies over the field at low opacity. Brass rules — gilding borders — are hairline, 1px, and used to close plates, never to decorate them.

Plate numbering

FIG. 01

LEKKI–IKOYI LINK BRIDGE, LAGOS — connection. Hero and threshold plates.

FIG. 02–05

National Assembly civic axis, data facility + survey map, Warri pipeline, Supreme Court colonnade — capabilities, sovereignty, energy, regulation.

FIG. 06

Port, bridge or civic threshold — the working-together close. Every figure names a real place. No fictional locations.

Do not

X

Do not stretch or compress the mark.

X

Do not rotate or place the mark off-axis.

X

Do not recolour outside approved tokens.

X

Do not add shadows, bevels or glows. No gradients on brass. No generic clouds, blue grids or glass UI cards.

06 — Applications

The system in use.

Six contexts, one language. The mark, the palette and the rules scale from a 16px favicon to a 340px document cover without changing character.

07 — Voice & Copy

Declarative, not persuasive.

Kaliabe states what is true and what is built. The voice is institutional authority — never sales, never superlative, never a startup. Copy reads like a specification, not an advertisement.

Write like this

Infrastructure that connects policy, evidence and implementation — built in Nigeria, operated with institutional clarity, designed to last.

  • Name the place: Lekki–Ikoyi, Warri, the National Assembly.
  • State the system: residency, encryption, local control.
  • Close with evidence: figure numbers, coordinates, RC numbers.
  • Use short declaratives. One idea per sentence.

Never write like this

Unlock the future of cloud with our cutting-edge, best-in-class solutions!

  • No exclamation marks. Ever.
  • No "learn more", "discover", "unlock", "revolutionary".
  • No superlatives: best, world-class, cutting-edge, seamless.
  • No tech buzzwords: synergy, scalable end-to-end, 360°.
  • No decorative cultural references. No "African futurism".

Technical captions as footnotes

Captions are evidence, not decoration. They follow a fixed grammar: FIG. [number] — [PLACE], [CITY]. DRAWN FROM LIFE. Coordinates and material state belong in the same line. If a caption cannot name a real place, the plate has not been finished.

Core line rules

INFRASTRUCTURE FOR INSTITUTIONS is the core line. It appears in caps, unpunctuated, unitalicised, untranslated. It may sit under the logo, over a hero, or alone as a closing line — it is never explained or expanded.
